Phonies
Prepaid cell phones provide an inexpensive and a simple user friendly interface that makes the luxury of a personal phone a possibility for many different socioeconomic and age groups. However, there are people that use these phones to stay undetected from possible law enforcement investigations. One idea that I have to suggest for these phones is to require a person to register their device. All this registration would do is link the serial number of the phone with the name of the person who purchased it along with the location of the purchased phone. Overall, banning prepaid cell phones would force the group of prepaid users to either spend more money for an expensive cell phone carrier or make them get rid of a phone all together.

Al, I agree that prepaid cell phones should not be banned because they do make having a cell phone possible for a lot of people in all sorts of different situations. I also agree that a requirement to register all prepaid phones is a great idea. Too often are prepaid phones being used for the wrong purpose.
